A report published in Britain last month indicates that female condoms are as effective as contraceptives as diaphragms or male condoms. The study in the Drugs and Therapeutics Bulletin published by the Consumers’ Association, a consumer advocacy group, says that of 106 women who were studied for an average of four months, seven became pregnant while using the sheath with a spermicide.
