Dr. Augusta Webster, 89, of the Lincoln Park neigborhood, died Saturday in her home. At the time of her death, Dr. Webster was professor emeritus at Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Webster was the first woman in the country to hold the rank of professor at a medical facility. Dr. Webster, who practiced obstetrics and gynecology for 55 years, was a founder of the Cancer Prevention Center in Chicago. She also served as director of the Illinois division of the American Cancer Society. There are no immediate survivors. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 1035 N. Dearborn St.
