Hooray for Joan Beck. She’s the only person who has had the courage to tell the truth about unwed mothers. And the fact that “Murphy Brown” and now “L.A. Law” should hold this practice to be not only acceptable, but desirable, is an outrage.
As Ms. Beck said: “The more role-model women who choose to have children outside of marriage, the more they will influence other women without their resources to do so, too, and the more difficult it will be to reverse this sad and harmful trend.”
