The Feminist Majority Foundation has raised $15,000 to pay for armed, off-duty police officers and electronic security equipment at a Florida abortion clinic. Eleanor Smeal, president of the foundation, this month visited the Aware Woman Center for Choice in Melbourne, whose staff physicians have been harassed at the clinic, at their other practices and at home, says Ruth Arick, the center’s community-relations director and defense coordinator for the Feminist Majority Foundation.
