Jeff Bagwell had a bases-loaded triple and Greg Swindell two hits and an RBI while winning for the first time at the Astrodome.
Two-out singles by Swindell, Craig Biggio and Steve Finley loaded the bases for Bagwell in the fourth. His triple to the right-field corner off Charlie Hough (2-1) gave Houston a 5-1 lead.
Swindell (2-1), a free-agent signee after pitching for Cincinnati last season, entered the game with an 0-1 career record in four Astrodome starts. He allowed 11 hits, struck out four and walked one in 7 2/3 innings.
