William Goodman, 89, of Chicago, died May 2 in Warren Barr Pavilion Nursing Care Residence, Chicago. Mr. Goodman, a mechanical engineer who specialized in heating, ventilation and air conditioning, worked closely on building projects with architect Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe. He also taught at the Illinois Institute of Technology before retiring in the late 1970s. He is survived by two sons, Phillip and David. Services were private.
