Occupation: Actress.
Birthday: June 29. I don’t give the year.
Birthplace: Hayward, Calif.
Current home: San Diego.
Marital Status: Married to Gary Pelzer since May 11, 1991.
Car: A midnight-blue 1990 BMW 735.
Working on: I play Sheila Carter on “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless.”
The last good movie I saw: “Scent of a Woman.”
I stay home to watch: “Murphy Brown.”
The book I’ve been recommending lately: “The Pelican Brief,” by John Grisham.
Favorite childhood memory: Summers at my grandparents’ ranch in northern California. They loved me more than you can imagine.
Personal heroes: My mother and my grandmother. They taught me to take care of myself.
I’ve never been able to: I’ve been brought up to do whatever had to be done.
I’m better than anyone else when it comes to: Cleaning. I’m meticulous.
If I could do it over: I would have spent more time with the people I was close to. They can be taken away so unexpectedly.
A really great evening to me is: I come home, start a nice dinner, take a hot bath, open a bottle of wine, put on some soft music and have a nice, romantic dinner with my husband.
The worst advice my mother ever gave me: She tried to convince me not to be a model. She said I’d get hurt and that I should stay in school. But it worked out.
The one thing I can’t stand: Bad table manners.
People who knew me in high school thought I was: A little nerdy and a big tomboy.
I knew I was a grownup when I: Moved to Tokyo by myself at 18 to model and survived. I grew up real fast.
The worst time of my life: When my parents were divorcing when I was in junior high school.
If I wasn’t an actress, I’d be: An architect.
Major accomplishment: Never quitting, even though I came close more than once. It’s the key to success.
Three words that best describe me: Outgoing, loyal, happy.
