I was horrified by the front page on June 18. A child, Duy Dang, was the 25th child to die by violence on the streets of Chicago in 1993. Immediately below that feature story was a promotional item relating to a story in another section of the paper. The promotional item was a photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger, holding a gun, alongside a blurb stating “Explosive fun” referring to an article about a new movie.

It would seem that the Tribune editors are torn as to whether guns are articles of tragedy or of entertainment. You need to get your priorities straight.
