Find: Amoco Corp. said a wildcat exploration well has tapped a “significant” oil and natural gas field in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Amoco Production Co., the exploration unit of the Chicago-based company, declined to speculate about the size of the discovery except to say the oil and gas would be economical to produce.
