Working on: I have two movies opening in August-“Heart and Souls” and “Searching for Bobby Fischer”-I’m shooting “Quiz Show,” and then I start work on “City Slickers II.” The nomination for best supporting actor in “Mr. Saturday Night” changed things for me. I never got sent this many scripts before.
The last good movie I saw was: “Bob Roberts.”
I stay home to watch: CNN. “Crossfire.
The book I’ve been reading is: “Pleading Guilty,” by Scott Turow.
Favorite pigout food: Fried rice.
People always think I’m: Jon Lovitz.
Favorite childhood memory: Playing with my dog, Mr. K. He was a beagle, and his ears were like a security blanket for me. Whenever I feel the ears of a beagle or a basset hound, I have a sense memory that takes me back to my childhood.
Prized possession: My home. It’s very modest, but we’ve sunk so much money in it.
Personal heroes: The 1969 New York Mets.
Every New Year’s I resolve: To be happier this year than I was the year before.
I’m better than anyone else when it comes to: Worrying.
I’d give anything to meet: Marlon Brando. He changed American acting.
A really great evening to me is: Going to the movies.
My fantasy is: I actually won an Oscar.
The one thing I can’t stand is: L.A. traffic.
