In several of your recent papers you have suggested that the restoration of wetlands might help control future flooding. I am all for doing that. Records will show that Cook, DuPage and Will County were originally about half swamp and wetland. Also Champaign County where the University of Illinois is located was a big swamp.
Restore those wetlands and I won’t have to rebuild my levee to protect me from the water.
