This letter concerns the ordinance introduced concerning the re-naming of Lake Shore Drive (Tribune, Oct. 8).
Aldermen, you’re not listening! Go to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive or Lou Rawls Drive, and ask the parents and schoolchildren there how much it helps them every day to know that a street has been named after a black person. You are fiddling while Chicago burns. Shame!
