John E. Lynch, 76, a licensed funeral director, died Sunday at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn. A lifelong South Side resident and funeral director for 55 years, Mr. Lynch served as a sales representative for F.H. Hill Co. and Brenner Casket Co. for 30 years. In his retirement, he remained a consultant for Brenner. Mr. Lynch was a 1937 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He is survived by two sons, William and John Lavin; two daughters, Cathy Barry and Norine McEnry; a brother; a sister; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Kenny Brothers Funeral Directors, 3600 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Germaine Church, 4240 W. 98th St., Oak Lawn.
