James J. Coduti Sr., 77, of Inverness, died Saturday in Columbus Hospital. Mr. Carduti was chairman and chief executive officer of C.A.C. Corp. of Rosemont, a tool and die manufacturing firm he founded in 1979. Prior to that, he started the Hudson Tool & Die Co. in 1956. He was a member of the Tooling & Manufacturing Association in Park Ridge and had been a president of its predecessor, the Tool & Die Institute, and was instrumental in initiating its apprentice training program. He is survived by four daughters, Lorraine Cardwell, Jeanne Coduti, Arlene Stornello and Frances Geier; a son, James Jr.; four sisters; three brothers; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Theresa Church, 465 N. Benton St., Palatine.
