Every day the newspapers are filled with stories about the atrocities of war: the killings, the tortures, the rapes, the starving children, the fleeing refugees. American soldiers are flying every-which-way trying to bring peace to these troubled areas.
Yet in a small article on Oct. 21, we are told that the world’s biggest producer and marketer of arms is the United States.
Doesn’t this also make us the world’s biggest enabler of the very atrocities we are supposedly trying to stop?
