William E. Wingard, 82, former chairman and president of the Wingard Co. and a sailing enthusiast, died of a heart attack Oct. 25 in Manor Oaks Convalescent Home in Ft. Lauderdale. His firm, which did design and packaging, subsequently became a division of Cosmark Co. He was a longtime member of Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club and co-edited the Squall, a sailing newsletter. He and his wife, Julia, were married 50 years. She is his only immediate survivor. Services for Mr. Wingard were private.
