Thirty duplex homes remain available at Legends in Carol Stream, a new 112-home multifamily community being developed by RSC Renaissance Partnership Inc.
“Given our sales pace to date and current low interest rates, we expect to be completely sold out well before this time next year,” said Donna Rochford, sales manager. As it is, she said, more than half the planned homes have already been closed out and have families living in them.
Central to the appeal of these 1,530- to 1,835-square-foot homes, she said, has been the completeness of the “packages” offered as part of base-prices ranging from $136,000 to $152,000. “Everything is already included in the purchase price, even fireplaces and professional landscaping,” she said.
Also included as standard in base purchase prices are two-bedrooms and a loft (third bedroom options available), 2 1/2 baths and an attached two-car garage as well as central air-conditioning, fully applianced kitchens, first-floor laundries, formal dining rooms and separate family rooms, based on the floor plan chosen.
The sales center is on Gary Avenue one mile south of Army Trail Road in west suburban Carol Stream.
– Bigelow Homes reports 18 sales in the first six weeks of pre-construction sales at its new TreeHouse in the Woods development in north suburban Round Lake.
When complete, the wooded 32-acre community will have 220 townhouses priced from $94,900 to $124,900, according to John Kamin, vice president.
Ten floor plans will have a total of 28 buildings arranged in groups with walking lanes.
