Boris Yelstin recently arrested numerous individuals for opposing him, only after scores were killed in a bloody confrontation. I also read where 15 newspapers and one television show have been shut down for opposing his beliefs.
This is the new order? The brutal killings of dozens of people and total censorship of their thoughts? It appears to me that the status quo is alive and well in the Soviet Union.
What is even more disturbing is the fact that President Clinton supports this person, thus supporting these actions. He has stated, “The government and people of the U.S. support you.” Wrong. I in no way can or will ever support oppression, bloodshed or censorship or a president with such beliefs. The president’s misguided support for Yelstin is yet another troubling blunder in his short time in office.
