Robert J. Murray, 53, a retired Chicago police officer who capped his 32-year career as commander of the Grand Central Area Youth Division, died Friday in Chicago. Mr. Murray was the first of three brothers, two sons and two brothers-in-law to go into law enforcement. He was a past director of the St. Edward Youth Program. Survivors include his wife, Sharon; his father, Martin; his sons, Thomas, Patrick and Robert Jr.; three brothers; two sisters; and three grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Edwards Church, 4400 W. Sunnyside Ave.
