Reps. Gerald Solomon (N.Y.) and Newt Gingrich (Ga.) have announced their candidacies for House Republican Leader in the next Congress (1994-1995) to replace Illinois’ retiring Bob Michel of Peoria. And they haven’t even been re-elected yet.
That’s just the kind of incumbent arrogance of power and pomposity that turns people off and fuels the drive for term limits.
