I couldn’t believe it when I heard Roland Burris say that for political reasons he will neglect his duty as attorney general to represent in court the people of Illinois in a lawsuit concerning Medicaid.
Burris may want to become the next governor of Illinois, but how does he expect the people of Illinois to trust that he would fulfill his duties as governor when he blatantly just told the citizens of Illinois that not only would he refuse to represent the state, he may even join in action against the state?
I thought his judgment was bad when he fought to avoid a budget cut in his office when every other constitutional officer took a voluntary budget cut to help balance the budget.
