Sue Bornstein, 54, of Highland Park, died Monday in her home. Mrs. Bornstein, who held a degree in social service administration from the University of Chicago, graduated from South Shore High School and Lake Forest College. She served as director of manpower research at the American Academy of Pediatrics from 1978 to 1982. She then traded commodities at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange for five years. Most recently, she did research at the Chapin Hall Center for Children at the U. of C. She was a volunteer at LINKS, a teen health clinic in Northfield. From 1983 to 1987, Mrs. Bornstein was on the board of trustees of Amigos de las Americas, an international service program based in Houston. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Myron; two sons, Peter and Benjamin; a daughter, Louisa; four grandchildren; her mother, Sylvia Biltzer; and a sister. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Weinstein Brothers Memorial Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette.
