SW Mo. St. 66, SIU 64: Johnny Murdock made two free throws to give Southwest Missouri a five-point lead with :10 left and the host Bears held on.
Southern Illinois forward Ian Stewart missed a three-point shot at the buzzer.
Murdock scored 22 points for Southwest Missouri (9-9, 4-6 Missouri Valley). He missed two free throws with :03 left, but Stewart could not hit the game-winner for Southern Illinois (13-5, 8-3).
The Bears led 59-46 with about four minutes remaining, but let the lead melt away. Salukis guard Paul Lusk had six of his 20 points as Southern Illinois fought back down the stretch.
Clint Thomas had a career-high 18 points and 14 rebounds while forward Shawn Latimer scored 10 points for Southwest Missouri.
Marcus Timmons had 15 points for Southern Illinois.
Wright St. 87, W. Illinois 73: Mike Nahar and Delme Herriman scored 22 points apiece as host Wright State prevailed behind a dominating front line.
Herriman hit 10 of 13 shots and Nahar 8 of 9-most from near the basket-as Wright State (7-14, 4-6 Mid-Con) shot 61 percent for the game.
Western Illinois (4-13, 2-8) couldn’t keep up after the first three minutes. Nahar scored seven points in a 17-8 run that put the Raiders ahead 25-14 with 11:25 left in the half. Nahar had 14 points in the first half and Herriman had 10.
The Raiders hit 66 percent in the first half (21 of 32) and led 49-35 at intermission. Wright State led by as many as 21 in the second half.
Rob Welch added 12 points for Wright State-10 in the first half-and Andy Holderman had 11.
Orlando Patrick led Western Illinois with 19 points and Andre Humphrey scored 11 points and had six steals.
Millikin 86, North Central 74: Shannon Cloyd had 28 points and 15 rebounds to spark host Millikin (11-7, 5-3 CCIW). North Central (3-16, 0-8), led by Jamon Lomax’s 23 points and 10 rebounds, got as close as eight points with 1:30 to go but Millikin held on.
MacMurray 64, Principia 52: Matt Neihaus scored 29 points to lead visiting MacMurray (8-9). Principia fell to 2-15.
Illinois College 90, Knox 81: Brett Hefner scored 20 points and Kyle Price 19 as host Illinois College (9-7, 4-6) won the Midwest Conference matchup. Knox (4-14, 1-9) was topped by Jerry Mitchell’s 28 points.
Lawrence 75, Lake Forest 68: Nate Flynn and Mike Tryggestad scored 20 points for host Lawrence (4-13, 1-9 Midwest). Lake Forest (3-13, 3-6) was led by Germaine Williams’ 17.
