O’Donnell Wicklund Pigozzi & Peterson Architects Inc. has elected a new chairman and new board member, as well as promoted 12 other staff members at its offices in Chicago and north suburban Deerfield.

The new chairman of the board of directors is Leonard S. Wicklund, 63, a founder of the firm, who is also a senior principal and chief executive officer.

Throughout OWP&P’s 20-plus years of experience in the medical architecture field, Wicklund has directed some of the firm’s largest projects, including Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora and Oak Park Hospital.

Daniel J. Cinelli, director of marketing and a project principal in the firm’s life care and geriatric areas, was elected to the board of directors. Cinelli, 40, was the 1992 recipient of the American Institute of Architects’ Young Architect Award.

Named senior associates at the 150-person architecture firm were Alfred Hidvegi, Judith Luhman, Paul Virgilio and Michael Yoshimura. Newly named associates include Alan Armbrust, Gary Bell, Jeffrey Foster, Ronald Harrison, David R. Johnson, Dennis Mika, David Rodemann and Candace Schafer.

The personnel announcements were made by Leonard A. Peterson, president. OWP&P recently relocated its Chicago offices from North Michigan Avenue to One North Franklin Street in the West Loop.

– United Development Management Co. appointed Charles G. Conville as president snd chief executive officer, responsible for the day-to-day management of the Wheeling-based firm’s three subsidiary home building companies: United Development Homes of Arizona, Illinois and Michigan. Previously he served as president and chief executive officer of PrimeBank FSB in Grand Rapids, Mich.

– William D. Norwell was installed as 1994 president of the Chicago chapter, Institute of Real Estate Management. He is senior vice president of Investor Services at Stein & Co. and heads the firm’s Investor Services Group.

– Stephen J. Tinsley joined the Walken Co. development and management firm as head of an acquisition/investment group, Walken Tinsley Interests, responsible for real estate and corporate acquisition transactions and investments on a national and international basis.

He formerly served as executive vice president and director of national development services with CB Commercial, president of Balcor Corporate Development Services Inc. and senior vice president and partner of The Alter Group.

– Timothy E. Gallagher joined Hiffman Shaffer Anderson Inc. as executive vice president and principal of the firm, assuming the position of managing director, Industrial Group.

Previously he was president of Darwin Realty and Development Corp.

– Marc A. Boorstein and Jeffrey L. Jacobson formed a real estate brokerage firm, MJ Partners, Real Estate Services, headquartered in downtown Chicago.

– CB Commerical Real Estate Group named Matthew Lawton first vice president, commercial properties, at its Schaumburg office.

– Peter Conkey III joined the Galbreath Co.-Chicago as a senior vice president of corporate services. He formerly was with Goldie B. Wolfe & Co. and Dearborn Associates Inc.

– Himmel Corp. named Pat Nielsen sales director for 3400 Lake Shore Drive building being converted from rental to condominium ownership.

– The Appraisal Institute named Sue A. Adlesic vice president of finance, reporting to the executive vice president.

– Chicago architect David Hovey was named a fellow in the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects.

He is the owner of Optima Inc. design and land development company and an associate professor of architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

– Francis X. Sweeney joined Cambridge Realty Capital Ltd. as vice president of its newly opened East Coast office in Garden City, N.Y.

Mitcheal C. Word has become affiliated with the Chicago-based investment banking and consulting firm as West Cost correspondent, based in San Diego.

Sam Reed joined the company as a financial analyst.

– Joseph M. Siciliano joined Mark B. Weiss Real Estate Brokerage Inc. as a vice president, working in the Auction Services and Marketing division.

– Margaretten & Co. appointed Bernal Flores a loan officer in its Itasca office.

– The Alter Group, named Barbara Morton assistant property supervisor, Alter Asset Management.

Denise L. Gibbons joined the Wilmette-headquartered Group as administrative assistant for Real Estate Resources and Christine M. Simonides and Diane D. Wojtalewicz as administrative assistant for the Sales department.

– Michael C. McMahon joined the Residential Division of Wm. L. Kunkel & Co. Realtors as a residential sales associate.

– Bill Williams joined Coldwell Banker/Streamwood as a sales associate.

– Pao K. Lin joined Realty Executives Realtors, Naperville. He will specialize in residential sales.

– Janet Belieff, a sales associate at the Lake Shore office of Baird & Warner, joined the sales staff for the conversion of Hampden Tower Condominiums.

– Patrick Duffy joined Hallmark & Johnson Properties Ltd. as a sales associate. He was formerly with Eco Building Systems Inc.

– Gayle M. Tepper joined the Gold Coast office of Prudential Preferred Properties.
