Richard D. Swanson, 64, a state maintenance worker, died Friday in Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. Born in Chicago, Mr. Swanson served in the U.S. military in World War II. He is survived by two daughters, Peggy and Gail; a brother; and two grandchildren. Services will be held Monday in Kankakee.
