Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
You know you need to network to get ahead. And you’ve made contacts that have proved valuable to your career advancement.
But along with making contacts, it’s crucial to maintain your networking relationships.
Here are some tips from the National Association of Female Executives:
– Rather than calling your contacts only when you need help, call them to offer your help.
– Send them newspaper and magazine clippings with a handwritten note saying why you think the information might interest them.
– If you aren’t interested in a particular opportunity presented by an executive recruiter, refer her to qualified people in your network. Your contacts-and the recruiter-will appreciate and remember such generosity.
