In response to the article by Newton Minow (Op-Ed, Feb. 10): Indeed, Mr. Minow, the public does still own the airwaves and, fortunately, the vast majority of the public doesn’t think like you.

Judging from Howard Stern’s ratings in the various markets, a lot of people are interested in what Stern has to say. I was glad to see Stern removed from Chicago radio, but not because I found him obscene, merely untalented and decidedly unfunny.

The last time I checked there were dozens of radio stations airing in Chicago. I suggest that Mr. Minow do what I do when I find something objectionable on the radio-turn the dial.
