It’s refreshing to see that some of our elected officials are exercising a little restraint over health care reform.
Why doesn’t government act like any corporation that is responsible to its shareholders? Any company would do test marketing before taking a product to production for sale nationwide.
Isn’t this health care proposal a new product worthy of the same test marketing? If our lawmakers would do a pilot study at state level offering this health care to a handful of states with an average-age population and an average-sized population and then implement and study it, the taxpayer and the nation as a whole would benefit.
Our leaders would have concrete data to work with and to fine-tune at state level before exposing the whole country to a yoke that could weigh us down. If the health care proposal doesn’t work, wouldn’t it be easier to pull the plug on the program in a few states rather than the whole country?
