Isn’t the double standard that such liberals as Jon Margolis have interesting? In his Feb. 15 column, Margolis states, “If two years of investigation (of Dan Rostenkowski) have not discovered any crimes, perhaps none have been committed.”

I seem to recall another investigation that was just concluded. However, it lasted seven years and cost $4O million. And despite the lack of any evidence, Lawrence Walsh, in an attempt to further tarnish the reputations of those he had investigated, stated he still felt that wrongdoing had occurred.

If two years is sufficient to determine that Democrats under investigation are free of guilt, why is seven years not enough to judge the same for Republicans?
