I was disappointed with the letter by Carl Levine, “Jewish donations are vital for Israel” (Feb. 21).
He indicates we should urge “. . .our government to maintain its economic and military support for Israel.” Should the United States support any nation based upon its self-proclaimed status as a “homeland” for a particular group of people?
I wonder how the U.S. population would feel about providing economic and military aid to a Black Muslim or Aryan “homeland.”
