Gretchen Jankowski and Sarah Monaco combined to pitch Fenwick’s second straight no-hitter. Sarah Mikol had two homers and four RBIs and Dana Ballard went 4 for 4 with 4 RBIs in the five-inning game. Fenwick is 2-0.
St. Barbara 26-16, St. Benedict 5-6
Melissa Aguilar drove in eight runs, including a three-run homer, and Machelle Dickman added seven RBIs and a grand slam as St. Barbara (3-2) swept.
Ridgewood 9-13, Proviso W. 2-0
Michelle Dombrowski pitched a one-hitter with four strikeouts and Tammy Czeczewski followed with a no-hitter and 13 strikeouts for Ridgewood (2-0). Czeczewski also hit a grand slam and had seven RBIs on the day.
