Congratulations on Dick Locher’s cartoon (April 9) and to the Tribune for printing it.

There stands the ACLU outside a public housing project saying, “You can’t say we didn’t protect his right to privacy,” while the policeman leans over the child just shot and says, “He has it now.”

We need cooperation with our law enforcement bodies to fight crime, not roadblocks like that provided by the ACLU.
