I watched the television specials concerning the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Those brave men gave the world more than just a victory in war. They gave the world a legacy by example.
I speak for many others when I say that many years later, when my moment of truth in the military arrived, it was made easier knowing that I was, in some small way, paying back the debt owed to these men. I am happy that the people of the ’90s took the time to honor these courageous men who sacrificed so much for this generation.
