I applaud your comprehensive editorial, “What to do about kids having kids” (June 15). You neatly summarized the various factors bearing on this complex psychological and sociological problem.
I was pleased to see “…but also through sound instruction in contraception.” Abstinence and birth control should dramatically reduce unintended pregnancies, but school districts must not be trapped into ignoring knowledge by presenting abstinence-only programs exclusively.
