I was floored by the report from the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith charging that the religious Right attempts to destroy separation of church and state and to join religion and government. Nothing is further from the truth.
No fundamental Christian wishes the U.S. to become like Iran where church and state intermingle. Christians simply want to preserve religious freedom for all.
My own great-grandfather was a German Jew, and my name is Jewish. I love all Jewish people and have always respected the Jewish religion. That is until now. B’nai B’rith’s wild charges simply encourage socialists and atheists who wish to do away with religious freedom. I shall never again have the same respect for the Jewish religion and the B’nai B’rith.
