William E. Heringlake, 74, a retired employee of Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, died July 11 at home in Waukegan. He was born in Indianapolis. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Ruth Anne Hickman; a son, Joseph; and two grandchildren. Private services were held Saturday.
