Incredible that Dr. Robert Gallo should remain at the National Institutes of Health, much less be accorded respect.
Thanks to John Crewdson’s excellent articles regarding the AIDS test controversy, we have seen how Dr. Gallo used cunning, arrogance and lies to undermine scientific integrity at the very highest levels. Such findings will cost us dearly in the eyes of the world’s scientific community, especially if Dr. Gallo is not immediately replaced.
Surely in this great country, there must be many dedicated and gifted scientists more honest than Dr. Gallo.
