Irma Strauss, 71, of Chicago’s Near North Side, an architectural historian who specialized in the decorative designs and furnishings of Frank Lloyd Wright, died Wednesday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Strauss described Wright as “(America’s) Leonardo and Michelangelo.” She graduated from Northwestern University and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is survived by her husband, Helmut; two sons, Jonathan and Jeremy; two grandchildren; and a brother. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Stone Chapel of K.A.M.-Isaiah Israel Congregation, 1100 E. Hyde Park Blvd.
