James D. Taylor, 68, an Evanston resident for nearly 50 years, died Wednesday in St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. Mr. Taylor was a supervisor for Graymills Corp., a Chicago pump manufacturing firm, until his retirement in 1977.
Mr. Taylor, a native of Hurricane Mills, Tenn., was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Helen Mary; a daughter, Karen Minter; two sons, Mark and James; two brothers; a sister; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 1571 Maple Ave., Evanston. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 806 Ridge Ave., Evanston.
