We are appalled by the suffering in Rwanda and Zaire. We applaud the president and other agencies for their effort to supply aid. However, we suggest that there be an immediate airlifting program to take the dangerously ill people from the Zaire death camps to other African cities and countries.

It is obviously not possible to set up quickly enough hospitals and needed service shelters to aid the most desperate victims. Prompt removal to other African cities could save many lives.
