SoftNet Systems Inc. agreed in principle to acquire Communicate Direct Inc., a Chicago-based provider of telecommunications products and services. Terms were not disclosed. SoftNet of Lincolnshire said Communicate Direct reported revenues of more than $9 million in 1993.
