James C. Varner, 42, a sales representative from Grayslake, died Tuesday in Lake Forest Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Waukegan. He is survived by his parents, Estie and Ruth Varner; and a brother. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Strang Funeral Home, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.
