Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Get the guilts slamming down bad guys on your Game Boy? Yanking too much electrical power just for the fun of flipping Tetris chips? Naki Company has come up with a keen, green idea to keep your fingers on the buttons – a Solar Pak that sucks down sunshine and spits it back into your Game Boy in the form of game power. Set it up in a sunny room. Wait for a few hours. (Patience has its rewards, as dad always says.) Then, plug in the Solar-Pak and you can jump, run or whatever for up to six hours.

Game Boy versions should be in electronics stores soon. If you can’t wait, call 1-800-824-6254. The packs are expected to be about $30.

But don’t hang your head and fret, eco-minded Sega geniuses. Naki says a bigger model for Sega Genesis (about $60) will hit stores sometime this fall.
