Albert A. Kroll, 79, a former village president of Libertyville and an area school superintendent, died Monday in Libertyville Manor Extended Care Facility. He was born in Waukegan and was a lifelong Lake County resident. A college football player, he was inducted into Lake Forest College’s Hall of Fame. He taught in Antioch and Zion schools before becoming superintendent of Mundelein Elementary School District 75. He served as Libertyville’s village president from 1945 to 1949. He also served as superintendent of Oak Grove Elementary School District 68 in Green Oaks. He is survived by his wife, Lila; a daughter, Joan Dunn; two sons, Jim and Jerry; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Pl., Libertyville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel.
