A former business agent for Local 73 of the General Service Employees Union was sentenced Tuesday to 6 months in prison for taking kickbacks of $36,890 from a dentist who provided dental care to union members and their families.

Danny C. Hogan, 33, of Orland Park, said nothing as U.S. District Judge William Hart imposed the prison term and a $15,000 fine.

Dr. William Li, who formerly headed one of the largest dental-care providers in Chicago, was sentenced in June to 3 months in prison and 5 months of work release for kicking back 10 percent of the premium payments to Hogan.
