Robert A. Nicholson, 72, a former band leader, died Thursday at Resurrection Hospital in Chicago. A native of Chicago, Mr. Nicholson was the former band leader of the Bob Nicholson Orchestra in the Chicago area. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He also served as Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by a son, Robert; and four grandchildren. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 4432 N. Troy St., Chicago.
