Buell Herman, 86, a retired account executive for NBC-TV in Chicago, died Sept. 9 in Santa Barbara, Calif. Born in Boone, Iowa, Mr. Herman worked for NBC from 1936 to 1972. He handled accounts for the “Today” and “Tonight” shows. He is survived by his wife, Elmyra; two sons, John and James; and five grandchildren. Memorial services were held in Santa Barbara.
