If you like batting cages, swing on over to Batter Up! They’ve got a video version that’s a big hit.
Nope, this isn’t a video game Q this is an actual batting cage, except the ball machine is concealed by a movie screen with a life-size image of a pitcher (sorry, it’s not a famous guy or anything). He winds up, throws, and out of a hole in the screen comes the ball perfectly timed to the pitcher’s release. The effect is amazing Q you’ll swear a hot shot from the big leagues is pitching to you. Choose from five speeds, from underhand softball to 85 mph fastballs. Two bucks gets you 16 pitches.
Batter Up! also has a small game room (truly mediocre) and a snack bar. The highlight of this joint is definitely the video batting cages, which claim to be the only ones in the city.
