The other day I tried to order three tickets for the Illini-Duke game to be played at the United Center on Dec. 3. I was politely informed by the Oakbrook Terrace office of the University of Illinois that they were awaiting their allotment of tickets. The reason it seems is that all Blackhawks and Bulls season ticket holders receive first crack at all tickets.
What is the United Center-is it a home for only the rich and famous? This is a college basketball game and priority of tickets should go to the participating schools involved, not for the wheelers and dealers and scalpers to be dispensed to whomever they choose.
