A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit that CBS Inc. filed to try to block a planned Manhattan restaurant from calling itself Television City. U.S. District Judge Kevin Duffy in New York ruled that while CBS has a legitimate trademark to “Television City” as the name of a CBS Los Angeles studio, the network doesn’t have exclusive rights to the name in unrelated businesses.
